Containers from the start
Docker images built, tagged and pushed in the session.
Hands-on pipelines, containers and infrastructure as code — taught on a platform, not on slides.
DevOps training that does not run a pipeline is a presentation. Everything in this programme happens in a live environment the participants can break, read and rebuild.
The sequence mirrors how a platform is actually built: containers first, then orchestration, then infrastructure as code, then the pipeline that ties them together, and finally the observability and security controls that make it operable. Each module ends with the participants deploying something of their own.
Docker images built, tagged and pushed in the session.
Kubernetes deployed, configured and troubleshot on a cluster.
Terraform and Ansible used to rebuild the environment from nothing.
Metrics, logs and alerts set up on what they deployed.
| Module | Content |
|---|---|
| Docker and containers | Images, layers, multi-stage builds, registries and hardening |
| Kubernetes and Helm | Cluster concepts, workloads, services, ingress, Helm charts and debugging |
| CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions and GitLab CI | Pipelines, caching, matrix builds, gates and promotion |
| Terraform and Ansible | Provisioning, modules, state, idempotency and configuration management |
| AWS, Azure and Google Cloud | Cloud fundamentals, services mapping and cost basics |
| Monitoring and logging | Metrics, logs, alerting and dashboards for the deployed service |
The situations this is most often specified for, based on what we are asked to quote most often.
A personal laptop is strongly preferred so the labs continue between sessions. Where that is not possible we provide a hosted environment, though hands-on local practice is the better experience.
The principles are the same across tools. We run the labs in the tool your team uses where it is practical, and cover the others conceptually.
It is most useful for people who already ship something. If the cohort is new to delivery, we pair this with the software development programme first.
